Merchandiser and Retail Support Staff
E&R provides merchandising services for EMD SALES, Inc, the preferred international distributor for ethnic products in the Mid-Atlantic Region. For more than 30 years it has been serving a diverse customer base, delivering to grocers, wholesalers, restaurants, and ethnic establishments. As a single-source distributor, EMD Sales, Inc. has introduced fast-moving products extending beyond the barriers among ethnic groups.
Job Responsibilities:
- Produces store sales by providing point-of-purchase and shelf management services.
- Determines call schedule by reviewing priorities with supervisor
- Maintains store shelves by observing displays of company products, removing damaged or freshness-dated products, tidying store shelves, and providing optimum display of products.
- Maintains inventory by restocking shelves with product from inventory, observing inventory levels, prompting store management to reorder when levels appear low, and arranging for return and credit for damaged products.
- Helps field sales representatives with special promotions by setting-up displays at aisle ends, checking daily on special promotions, observing customer reaction to special promotions, forwarding observations to management, and removing promotions at end of special promotion period.
- Provides information by reporting growth, expansion, or closing of retail locations in assigned territory.
- Maintains quality results by following and enforcing standards.
- Enhances merchandising and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
Qualifications / Skills:

Education and Experience

Compensation:

Warehouse Picker
An Order Picker, or Picker Packer, is responsible for reading incoming orders and selecting the correct items from the warehouse shelves before staging them for delivery. Their duties include operating forklifts, and pallet jacks, updating inventory counts and counting out the appropriate number of goods to fulfill and order.
Job Responsibilities:
- Safely operates material handling equipment to accurately select, palletize, stage and/or load customer orders for delivery of product to customers without damage or errors.
- Prepares products for delivery.
- Labels and prepares pallets for Driver
Non-CDL Truck Driver
A full-time position with E&R Sales and Marketing services, delivering EMD products to their customers with accuracy, care, and efficiency. Interact with customers, EMD Sales’ sales representatives, managers, customer services and other drivers to provide and process information in response to inquiries, concerns and requests about delivery services.
Responsibilities
- Operating a delivery vehicle to/from the warehouse site to the delivery site (Supermarket Chains, Walmart, Independent Stores, and Restaurants) in Maryland, DC, Virginia, Delaware and all other locations assigned.
- Delivering food products with the appropriate temperature, unloading and deliver to the store back room. Frozen and refrigerated products must be safely delivered to its appropriate cooler or freezer in the back of the store. All merchandise must be accounted against invoice for accuracy in cases and dollars.
- Any discrepancy in cases must be notified to Customer service for immediate review. If the discrepancy is in pricing the driver must communicate with the Accounting Department.
- Collect and review any credits at the store included in credit memos in your route.
- Manage routes and routines so they proceed in the most efficient way possible. Use technology to help you navigate commercial roads safely. Ex Commercial GPS.
- Comply with all DOT and in-house regulations and rules. Complete a daily truck logbook to comply with DOT.
- Conduct daily inspections of the vehicle at beginning and the end of the shift and report any problems or damage to management
- Maintain the truck clean and fuel tank full. Observe and report equipment or mechanical failures immediately to Management and Penske or Ryder
- Respond promptly to customer inquiries, sales representatives
Warehouse Receiver
A Receiver ensures that the shipments are handled. The receiving of items in a warehouse are inspected, sorted and stored in the warehouse or stocked on shelves as needed. They need to keep up with invoices to make sure orders are correct.
Job Responsibilities:
- Efficiently loads and unloads trailers to ensure the warehouse remains adequately stocked.
- Maintains quality and cleanliness of the work area and equipment.
- Loads and unloads trailers as required.
- Receives goods and verifies documentation with each distributor
- Moves stock to appropriate warehouse locations and documents accordingly.
- Rearranges stock as required.
- Replenishes pick spots as necessary and maintains appropriate levels
- Performs quality control check on products.
- Stages finished goods from production for shipment.
- Reports inventory levels.
- May be assigned other tasks associated with the warehouse operation as needed.
Qualifications/ Skills:

We are seeking for a candidate that can interact with customers, EMD sales representatives, managers and drivers to provide and process information in response to inquiries, concerns and requests about products, prices, deals, routes etc.
Responsibilities
- Receives and handles requests from customers and distributors for price quotes, purchase orders, order adjustments, complaints, customer verifications, and order cancellations.
